I cancelled my reservation but the cancellation fee has not shown up on my statement yet. Should I file a claim now?
Yes. This may serve as a slight advantage for you! The earlier we are made aware about the claim, the better your chance in winning!
If the hotel chooses to credit me back in another way other than refunding my credit card (a credit towards a future stay, depositing points in my rewards account etc.) will Refund My Hotel still charge me?
Yes. We make every effort to ensure you will receive a statement credit back to the card that was charged. However, occasionally the hotel will offer a credit toward a future stay or points compensation instead of a refund back to the original form of payment. In that case, we will charge you a discounted 30% of the non-cash value.
When you file a claim, Refund My Hotel automatically authorizes your card for $1.00 to ensure the credit card is valid. These are not charges – only authorizations – and will not appear on your credit card statement.
Absolutely, we love referrals! We would also like to reward you for referrals you bring to us. Send your referral link to all your friends! For each referral who submits a valid claim, you will receive a $25 credit.
Once you’ve successfully referred a friend who has submitted a claim, the credit will be applied to your Refund My Hotel account automatically and will affect the very next claim that we win on your behalf! If your claim is refunded, we will automatically deduct the $25 credit from the total charge amount. For example, if the refund from the hotel was $500 and you successfully referred two people and have a $50 credit, we would only charge you $150 instead of $200. If we cannot win the claim on your behalf, your credit will stay in your account for 2 years and will be credited toward your next successful claim!
Fees paid to Refund My Hotel are non-refundable. But, customer satisfaction is most important! If you feel you deserve a refund, contact us, we promise to listen.
I was charged a fee at the hotel, but that type of fee is not listed as something you dispute. Can I still submit my claim to be disputed?
Yes. We have successfully fought many hotel fees, including resort fees, room damage, and wet bar charges. We cannot guarantee any refund but we will do our best to fight for you! Submit it as you would any fee and put a comment on the fee(s) you are looking to dispute.
